Very sad. He was a special player His performance in the U18's in 2007 was magical, despite NHL scout's lukewarm assessment. To score the go-ahead and game winning goals in the semis against Sweden is special. But the shift where he scored the gold medal winning goal against the US was mind-boggling. He was going to be a dominant player in the NHL for years. I think he would have been better than Kane or Turris or anyone else from that draft. What a great player.
