PuckAgency client, Sergei Shirokov, signs with Vancouver

Shirokov signs two-year deal with Vancouver Canucks, after spending the last year in Moscow playing for CSKA in the KHL.

VANCOUVER - The NHL's Vancouver Canucks announced Monday they have signed former Russian national junior team forward Sergei Shirokov.
Shirokov, 23, scored 41 points (17-24-41) in 56 games with CSKA Moscow of the KHL in 2008-09. He has also appeared in two world junior championships for Russian in 2005 and 2006. In 12 games played over two tournaments, Shirokov registered 134 points (7-6-13).
The 5-10, 176-pound native of Moscow was drafted 163rd overall by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2006 NHL entry draft.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Should be interesting to see how Shirokov does. I will definitely be rooting for him. Him and Hodgson could be magic together. It's too bad Parshin didn't come over as well. Was COL not interested in him or did Parshin not want to leave? Do you represent Parshin as well?
