5. (12) Perttu Lindgren, C – 7.0D, Texas Stars (AHL)
3rd round (75th overall) in 2005 – Age: 22

Another player who has spent some time on both sides of the pond is Perttu Lindgren. He has returned from a loan to Lukko Rauma (SM-Liiga) and has suited up once again for the Stars top affiliate. At the three-quarters pole, Lindgren leads the Texas Stars in assists and is one point out from the team lead in points. He saw spot duty in one NHL game this season.

Lindgren is an adept passer and possesses excellent hands. He has seen some time on the left wing this year but is rarely used on the top line; he collects many of his points on the man advantage. With Lindgren back in North America and producing at a high level, he should get a strong look in Dallas’ camp next summer.

Texas Showdown: Lindgren Assists in 4-3 Win Over Houston

Saturday night featured an old "Texas showdown" as the Texas Stars faced the Houston Aeroes. The Texas Stars (35-22-3-4, 77 Points) defeated the Houston Aeros (29-28-6-2, 66 Points) 4-3 on Saturday night in front of 6,110 fans at Cedar Park Center. Center Perttu Lindgren notched an assist in the win, his third of the season.

Perttu Lindgren Providing Extra Farm Depth For Stars May Give Way To Trade

Dallas News.com reported on Mike Heika's piece that salary concerns and a wealth of options could lead the Dallas Stars to trade center Mike Ribeiro. Among the individuals Heika pointed to as replacements at center, Perttu Lindgren of the AHL's Texas Stars could be a possibility.

I believe Ribeiro is a reasonably priced second-line center when he is playing well. But with players such as Tom Wandell, Jamie Benn, Aaron Gagnon, Perttu Lindgren, Ondrej Roman and Tomas Vincour as possible centers, maybe the Stars would be willing to take a chance and move Ribeiro for a defenseman.

Perttu Lindgren Continues To Impress With Texas Stars

Perttu Lindgren led all Texas Stars (AHL affliate of the NHL's Dallas Stars) skaters with six points (3 goals, 3 assists) over the past week. Five of his points came on the power play. Lindgren now leads the team with 19 assists and 28 points.

Good Old Texas Goal Show: Pertu Lindgren Has Goal and Assist

The Texas Stars defeated the Milwaukee Admirals handily, outscoring them 5-2 Tuesday night at Cedar Park Center. Forward Pertu Lindgren scored and assisted in the game, and now has five points in the last three games.
