The 2nd annual KHL All-Star Game will take place January 20th in the new Minsk Arena. As was with the 2009 All-Star Game, this year's exhibition will feature players under the captaincy of SKA St. Petersburg's Alexei Yashin against players under the captaincy of Jaromir Jagr of Avangard Omsk. This year's game will have a strong PuckAgency presence as Alex Radulov (Salavat Yulaev), Aleksey Morozov (Ak Bars Kazan), and Sergei Zubov (SKA St. Petersburg) have been selected to the first line. In addition, Anton Babchuk (Avangard), Dmitri Kalinin (Salavat Yulaev), and Lasse Kukkonen (Avangard) have been selected to the second lines. Sergei Zubov is KHL's defenseman of the month

Khabibulin added to 2010 Olympic team list

Nik Khabibulin is now on the list of names being considered for the Russian hockey Olympic team. The list currently consists of 50 players, and will be finalized by the end of the year.

Zubov still bringing some impressive ice time

The New York Times hockey blog, Slap Shot recently ran an article on the success of the KHL's SKA St. Petersburg. Jeff Klein identifies PuckAgency client, Sergei Zubov, who leads the team in ice time, as a major part of SKA's success. The KHL season began on September 10th, and since that time SKA has risen to the top of the Western Division. Zubov currently has 2 goals and 3 assists in St. Petersburg's 10 games this season.

Goodbye, Zubie!

The Dallas Stars have posted an article on their website bidding Sergei Zubov farewell. Ralph Strangis examines Zubie's ability on the ice, as well as his modest avoidance of publicity through the years he spent with Dallas.

Sixteen-year NHL veteran Sergei Zubov has signed with SKA St. Petersburg of the KHL, TSN.ca reports.
The 39-year old blueliner spent his last 12 seasons with the Dallas Stars, playing just 10 games last year because of a hip injury that required surgery.
The Moscow-native was drafted by the New York Rangers in 1990 with the 85th overall draft pick. Known as one of the better puck-moving defenceman and power play specialists of the last decade, Zubov has 152 goals and 619 assists in 1,068 career games.
He helped the Rangers capture the Stanley Cup in 1994 then helped lead the Stars to their first Cup in franchise history in 1999. He also captured an Gold medal for the Commonwealth of Independent States at the 1992 Olympics.
